A Bull market or are we heading Bearish + More?
It was about 1031 this morning, this young lady in front of me, while in line at a campus restaurant, tried to use her meal plan to buy breakfast...the cashier responded "i'm sorry hun, it's past 1030 (breakfast closes at 1030). I think to myself, "the heart behind this cashier?"
that was my refleXive part of my brain, my intuitive part which acts on emotions, feelings and instincts...I soon back off, for what seemed like a minute but really 1/10th of a second and actually let the RefleCtive part of my brain take over after I had actually thought about the situation. This part of the brain, is the part of the brain that you use to make informed decisions, for example, when someone asks you to count backwards from 908 by 13, the reflexive part of your brain is the first response, the one that actually starts rambling through numbers, the REFLECTIVE part of your brain is the back up plan, or step 2 for decision making and such that you use to actually count, 895....882....869, etc...most people actually think that this part of your brain can be "turned on", like ignite something inside of you to make it work, because this is a part of your brain that when you realize your using, can have a great impact on decision making......
anyways, I realize it wasn't the cashier's choice to not let this young lady use her meal plan to pay for breakfast, which ended at 1030, the law was made by University at Buffalo, one of the many rules and regulations here that we have to follow? have you ever wondered why only one minute or one second or one dollar or one penny had such a great importance?
an investing tip comes out of this, if a company makes a statement and says their dividend payment to shareholders this quarter is going to be 27 cents, but it will be really 28 cents, this could end up costing the company 3-4billion dollars, for a one penny mistake. Mistakes can huge and we as people need to realize that since we are human, we will make a mistake here and there. This is why investors are now thinking to themselves weather they sell or trade in this volatile market , will they become richer or will they be idiots and sell early or buy late...whatever decision you choose, first you will use reflexive thinking, then step back for a second and use reflective thinking, unless your a great gut-decision maker, like my brother Mark for example, for more information on him, visit his website at markmalagisi.com.
For the girl, I picked up the tab on her breakfast, talked with her a bit about the Sirius Satellite and XM radio up coming merger and tried to open another window. Sideways, like the history of stocks, will eventually move upward, i'm in it for the long run, now that's an investment.
Another piece of advice that I want to let all my brothers in on, "the mountain that you think your climbing, just may be a grain of sand...." Lets hope closing bell tomorrow will bring many good good things to our economy and world!
